Amichien® Bonding taken from the French word “Ami” meaning “Friend” & “Chien” meaning “Dog” is the chosen name for this method in which we, the owner, can at last become the Friend to the Dog.

It isn’t Training or Obedience in the traditional sense of the words, it’s a way of communicating with the dog in a way it understands. It works in harmony with the dog’s natural instincts which can be seen demonstrated within the wolf pack, the ancestor of every dog.

The survival of the wolf pack is dependent on each individual pack member fulfilling a specific & vital role, with the ultimate responsibility lying with the Alpha. Every wolf understands this and a strict hierarchy is put into place to ensure the highest chance of survival exists.

There are 4 key areas that are critical to the ongoing survival of a pack:

	Perceived Danger		The Hunt (Walk)

The Alpha is the strongest, cleverest & fittest member of their pack.

We experience issues with our dogs when we have failed to give them clear signals that we are the leader, the Alpha, of our pack. This leaves the dog with no option, it has to assume responsibility, it has to become Alpha. It has to ensure the ongoing survival of itself and its pack. How can we expect it to succeed? It’s in a manmade world that it has no chance of understanding and we have set it up for certain failure.
